I would think twice about designing stuff for which there was no need and which didn’t endure.
I’ve been amazed at how often those outside the discipline of design assume that what designers do is decoration. Good design is problem solving.
In my opinion, no single design is apt to be optimal for everyone.
It is only after years of preparation that the young artist should touch color – not color used descriptively, that is, but as a means of personal expression.
Luck is the residue of design.
